While Seattle is known for it's gray rainy weather 9 months of the year, the incredible scenery on sunny summer days makes you forget the gloom of winter. It doesn't rain in Seattle as much as some think, in fact, New York receives more rain than Seattle. The challenge though is the endless gray days with no sunshine that gets to folks.

When considering a visit to Seattle and wanting to find the best hotel in Seattle there are some things to consider. Most of the best hotels in Seattle are right downtown among the skyscrapers, often rising over 30 stories so the views can be spectacular of the city, Elliot Bay and the Olympic mountains to the west. The downtown location makes them ideal if you are in town for a cruise as the cruise ship terminals are just a short cab ride away.
